beginnings of 2012.
Aware more than ever of the absence from this forum of fancy thoughts that circle my head on the daily. I bet you probably assumed this blog would continue on forever as a series of pictures from my Instagram, but not the case at all. This phase of neglect over this blog is not a matter of lack of inspiration. In fact, it is a result of profound bliss and reconciliation of all the tiny issues that were pent up over the course of last year and as a result, a heap of inspiration and motivation has settled upon me now.
Let’s get up to speed then, shall we. Currently I have someone very special that I can count on and care for that feels the exact same as I do. I managed to lock down a dream job in San Francisco which I am so excited about as I move forward with my career and plans to relocate to the city that I so dearly love. Even my best friend has found a love in her life and for the first time in many months, I feel stable and assured again.
It all amounts to what I had been dreaming and fantasizing aloud and deep in my thoughts. No self help book or motivational video or cd could possibly capture the experience of breaking down and losing faith to building a sense of confidence and self empowerment required to bring oneself back to their full potential. I admit to burying myself into a laundry list of fads and techniques to search for myself and find out what I really want and need BUT…
Fact of the matter is, you learn all those things by following your own instincts. Listening to yourself, and I mean really listening, is the only way. Gathering your true feelings and turning them into actionable items that are attainable and executable leads to true fulfillment. And the trick is, it doesn’t happen in the chapters and steps provided in those pieces of literature or in the movies. Sometimes it’s all out of order, can go by real slow or at a rapid pace, and can send you spinning and swirling out of control just so you can practice the art of getting yourself back into focus to remember once more what it is you want.
Today I am faced with a new set of loves and wants and desires and challenges in my life. As always I am just so happy at this whole process of learning about myself and growing and developing into the person I hope to be and accepting my place in this vast, unique and ever changing world.
